Sinners to Repentance
Many of you have been praying for the new Bible study that we have been holding in a section of Medellín called, Comuna 13. For those prayers I heartily thank you and humbly admit that God is answering.
You may remember that we were going to have the gang leader of the area come to one of the studies. Well, he showed up once but three weeks later was found right behind the house where we hold our study with multiple gunshots in the head. It was a sad event with many in our study impacted powerfully as this young man was a friend to many of them. It was a strong reminder that sin is a killer and salvation is only available today. Unfortunately, that young man never became a repentant believer.
Thank God though, because others have. In the past 5-6 weeks we have seen 6 people saved as a result of this Bible study. Praise God that 2 prostitutes, 2 teenagers, and 2 adults have gotten saved and have changed from righteous sinners to repentant sinners. Please continue to pray.
Recently, we had a missions camp in the small town of Ebéjico. It was great for our church as they focused on reaching children in this needy area. We had games, competitions, puppets, soccer, and of course, preaching. Around 50-70 people showed up both days and we sowed the seed. Please pray for souls as a result.
Peter Putney and his family recently arrived after finishing a successful deputation. We are thrilled to have them and look forward to what the future holds as we labor together. Pray for them as they settle in and continue their language studies. Help has arrived!
Pray as we have had interest shown from a Stateside ministry interested in helping us reach Colombia with God’s Word. There will be lots of planning and work required but the potential to reach multitudes will be enormous!
